Sorry I haven’t written in so long, 2009 – present, is a multi-project work with my incarcerated brother, T-Roe. T-Roe is serving a nine-year sentence in Louisiana for his fourth DUI offense, and I am engaging him to create artwork that is driven by my desire to understand his experience. His role lies between muse/collaborator/consumer of the work. This project is an exploration of and intervention on our perception of one another, circumstance, and power.
