This work archives one long, laborious step in the process of making the Penitentiary Tattoo Guns: scratching out the tip of a ballpoint pen in order to use the tip to house the needle. Each page holds the dust produced from scratching out one pen tip. The notebook is a collection of accrued time. A penance and prayer book in one.
